Kentucky The member cooperatives set up EKPC as a not-for-profit generation and transmission utility with headquarters in Winchester, Ky. EKPC’s purpose is to generate energy and ship it to co-ops that distribute it to retail customers. Today, EKPC provides wholesale energy and services to 16 distribution cooperatives through power plants, peaking units, hydro power and more than 2,800 miles of transmission lines. Together, EKPC and member cooperatives are known as Kentucky’s Touchstone Energy Cooperatives.
