ABOUT US
New Echota Rivers Alliance (NERA) was formed in 2006 in Calhoun, GA as a chapter of the Coosa River Basin Initiative and the Upper Coosa Riverkeeper. The mission statement of NERA is to preserve and protect the rivers, streams and lakes of Gordon County as well as those of the adjacent counties. In addition to the preservation and protection of our rivers NERA is also dedicated to the education of the public on environmental issues such pollution, litter, stream bank erosion and sedimentation.
