MISSION
The mission of the Satilla RIVERKEEPER® is to protect, restore, and educate about a uniquely beautiful ecological system, the Satilla River. We are first responders when something is wrong. We help enforce environmental regulations, and help shape new policies that ensure the health of the river. We organize river appreciation activities, apply for grants and encourage funding to correct environmental problems, and we monitor the quality and quantity of river flow. We participate with other environmental organizations in coalitions that help shape Georgia policy and legislation about river quality.
