The Trust for Public Land is working to preserve Georgia’s past—and protect its future. Land acquired by TPL helped to establish the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site in the Atlanta neighborhood where the civil rights leader was born and raised.
Along the Chattahoochee River, TPL is conserving land to safeguard water quality and secure public access for recreation. The Atlanta Beltline Initiative is converting abandoned rail lines to trails and pathways—one more way to create green space in the communities where Georgians
