Led by the Wyoming Game and Fish Department, the Wyoming Teaming with Wildlife Coalition includes wildlife biologists, hunters & anglers, birdwatchers, hikers, nature-based businesses and other conservationists.
Wyoming’s Diverse Lands, Waters, and Wildlife
Wyoming lies at the intersection of seven major eco-regions and at the headwaters of three major river systems. The diversity and abundance of wildlife habitats in Wyoming is unparalleled in the interior West. From grizzly bears in the Absarokas to tiger salamanders in the city park, from swift fox to sturgeon, over 800 species of wildlife call Wyoming home. Recently landowners, scientists, sportsmen and other conservationists came together to create the exciting new Wyoming Wildlife Action plan. If we invest in this plan today, we can conserve Wyoming’s wildlife heritage for future generations!
A Powerful Coalition to Conserve our Wildlife Heritage
More than a dozen organizations and businesses from across Wyoming have come together to spread the word about the Wyoming Wildlife Action Plan and to secure the funding it needs for success. YOU CAN HELP by joining the coalition, engaging organizations in your community and urging our elected officials to support the federal State Wildlife Grants Program and legislation providing long-term, dedicated funding for wildlife conservation and related education and recreation.
