It’s our hope that this report can rekindle the interest and enthusiasm for achieving dedicated funding for “nongame” fish and wildlife conservation that existed early during the Teaming with Wildlife (TWW) campaign. In recent years, due in part to our success in obtaining appropriated funds; we’ve seen this issue slip towards the back of our agenda. As we enter the third decade of the TWW campaign, our long-term funding goal has remained elusive. With growing concerns about the federal deficit and the emphasis on reducing the size and cost of government, it’s more imperative than ever to ensure our strategy is sound.
