Teaming with Wildlife Publications

  • State Wildlife Action Plan Summary Report - (August, 2006) A comprehensive report on what the state wildlife action plans are and the opportunity they present for preventing wildlife from becoming endangered. The 18.5 MB full report, linked above, includes 4-page summaries of each state's wildlife action plan. The 32-page introduction is also available as a standalone report (3.3 MB). To order hard copies of this introduction for $1.50 apiece, please email teaming@fishwildlife.org.


  • State Wildlife Grants Five-Year Accomplishment Report - (April, 2006) Five years into the State Wildlife Grants program, this report examines the proactive and cost-effective projects that are being undertaken by state fish and wildlife agencies and their partners with these federal dollars. It also includes success stories from every state. Click here for standalone success story fact sheets. Also stay tuned for an exciting new report on wildlife action plan success stories in early 2008.



  • Investing in Wildlife Summary - (Spring, 2005) The summary of a University of Michigan research team's review of state-level wildlife funding mechanisms and the campaign's to enact them. This document includes an abstract, impetus and objectives of the research, summaries of the 15 case studies that formed the bulk of the research, an analysis of findings and recommendations for how states can successfully secure additional wildlife funding. The full report is also available but please note it does not include the summary.
     
  • America's Wildlife: The Challenge Ahead - (Spring, 2000) A starting point to help us envision a responsible and sensible approach to conserve our nation's wildlife. It documents some of the lessons we have learned from a century of conservation as well as the trends of rapid wildlife and habitat loss we face today. How we use this knowledge and act on behalf of wildlife conservation for the future is the challenge that lies ahead.


  • Functional Model for an Enhanced Wildlife Conservation, Education, and Recreation Program - (September, 1999) A suggested framework for enhancing existing wildlife programs to address the full range of conservation, education, and recreation opportunities.
     
  • State Wildlife Diversity Program Funding: A 1998 Survey - (1998) A comprehensive examination of funding sources for state fish and wildlife agency wildlife diversity programs.
