Teaming with Wildlife Scrapbook

Even as we look forward to building an expanded and strengthened Teaming with Wildlife Coalition, we have much to learn from the first generation of Teaming with Wildlife. From its genesis as the "Wildlife Diversity Funding Initiative," to the push for Teaming with Wildlife legislation, to the all out effort to pass the Conservation and Reinvestment Act, states across the nation came up with creative coalition-building ideas we can benefit from today.

For more recent examples of creative coalition materials, see our new "Share-the-Wealth" page!

Arizona:

  • Website Endorsement Form - An online version of the TWW Endorsement Form was one feature of a larger TWW site in Arizona, a great idea for your coalition!

Connecticut:

Georgia:

Iowa:

Fact sheets on potential uses for conservation education funding:
Iliniois Bald Eagle Days

Illinois:

Maryland:

Minnesota:

  • Birdseed Bag Label - Another early example of businesses using TWW in advertising. In this case, Minnesota birdseed manufacturers voluntarily contributed to wildlife diversity funding as an early example of industry support for the excise tax model.

Missouri:

  • Staff Newsletter Feature - Missouri Department of Conservation Director, Jerry Conley calls on all MDC staff members to "explain and promote Teaming with Wildlife in any way you can."
  • Missouri Teaming with Wildlife Newsletter - Good example of a concise coalition newsletter. This would be easy to put together with some cut and paste and clip-art.
  • CARA Wildlife License Plate - Missouri is one of many states that supplements wildlife diversity funding with specialty license plate sales. This example has a CARA message!
  • Educators Fact Sheet - A TWW fact sheet targeted at educators. The "top 10 list" is a great idea!
  • Project Examples by Congressional District - Rather than presenting project examples by region, this fact sheet is designed to show Members of Congress potential projects in their districts.

Oklahoma:

Oregon:

South Dakota:

Washington:

  • Quad-Fold TWW Brochure - Another simple brochure with basic information on Teaming with Wildlife. If you do something like this consider having an endorsement form section to tear off and mail as a postcard.

National Outreach and Events:

  • CARA Bat - A genuine wooden bat telling Congress to "Hit a Home Run for Conservation" by passing CARA now!
  • National Teaming with Wildlife Photo Album:
